The Canine Club.

Welcome to The Canine Club! I'm Kemo Correia, and this place represents my deepest passion. Let me share a bit about how it all started.

I grew up in Milnerton, Cape Town, surrounded by a house full of animals — dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, you name it. Animals have always been my world. I was a strong student, but my heart was never really in the classroom. It was always with the animals.

Everything changed when I got my first dog, Kessa. She was the spark that lit the fire. I started taking courses in canine behaviour, learning everything I could about how dogs think, learn, and communicate. I worked other jobs to pay the bills, volunteered at shelters, and spent every spare minute training dogs.

When a dog training position I'd applied for fell through, my friends told me: “Just do it yourself.” And so I did.

The Canine Club was born on May 25th, 2018!

I started by handing out flyers in Sunningdale and Parklands, going door to door, introducing myself and my new little business. The response was incredible. Word spread, clients came, and before I knew it, the community was asking for more — daycare, boarding, grooming, play dates.

Today, The Canine Club is a full-service dog lifestyle company. We have a passionate team of trainers and carers, multiple locations across Cape Town, and hundreds of happy pups who call us their second home. What started with one dog and a dream has become something truly special.
